Active Humidification for Adult, Paediatric & Infant Respiration:
nice Neotech is India’s first manufacturer of respiratory humidifiers. The heated respiratory humidifier provides optimum humidity for medical gases delivered to patients via breathing circuits through endotracheal tubes or face masks from temperature regulated reservoirs. It works in invasive and non-invasive application modes using a servo-controlled feedback system.
Designed for use in hospital environments where medical gas is being supplied to patients. nice 8050 Servo Control Respiratory Humidifier incorporates the latest S10 technology that provides a physiological level of humidity at body temperature, and the nice 8010 heated wire respiratory humidifier provides It is capable of operating in a non-invasive control mode with low, medium, and high temperature settings.
Mechanism:
Active humidifying processes, artificial warming, moisture, and heat are input to respiratory gases by an electrically powered humidifier that is recommended for every patient receiving non-invasive mechanical ventilation, as it may improve adherence and comfort, if a patient is mechanically ventilated over a longer period of time. The term respiratory gas conditioning stands for warming and humidification as well as purification of respiratory gas. These three essential functions of respiratory gas conditioning serve the preparation of inspired respiratory gas for the sensitive lungs. Dry and cold inspiratory air is passed from the ventilation to the humidification chamber, which is transported to the patient and floats above the water surface and absorbs heat and humidity in the form of water vapor, which cannot transport germs. The risk of contamination is reduced.
Respiratory humidifiers can be used for both adult and infant care. It can be used for invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy with absolute humidity > 12mg/l for adult care. In infant care, it can be used additionally for infant bubble CPAP, resuscitation, and oxygen therapy with absolute humidity > 33mg/l.

Advantages:
Humidifier therapy adds moisture to the air to prevent dryness that can cause irritation in many parts of the body. Humidifiers can be particularly effective for treating dryness of the skin, nose, throat, and lips. They can also ease some of the symptoms caused by the flu or common cold.
When the upper airway is bypassed during invasive mechanical ventilation, humidification is necessary to prevent hypothermia, disruption of the airway epithelium, bronchospasm, atelectasis, and airway obstruction. In severe cases, inspissation of airway secretions may cause occlusion of the endotracheal tube.
Less humidity can cause airway mucosal dysfunction and more humidity can cause reduced mucus viscosity and increased pericellular depth fluid.
The Benefits
- It offers accurate oxygen concentration that improves a patient’s oxygen level while maintaining the normal operation of airway mucociliary clearance over long periods of time.
- Respiratory humidifiers are devices that ensure humidification and further provide respiratory treatment for patients with a high flow mixture of warm air and oxygen.
- Also applies to neonates weighing less than 2500g.
- A heated respiratory humidifier also helps to maintain body temperature with adult and paediatric circle systems.
Side Effects:
Humidifiers can ease problems caused by dry air. If you use a humidifier, be sure to check the humidity levels and keep your humidifier clean. Dirty humidifiers can breed mould or bacteria. Lung issues, from flu-like symptoms to serious infections, are your main worries, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Experts have also identified something they call “humidifier fever,” a form of viral lung inflammation caused by colonized humidifier bacteria.
