PHOTOTHERAPY RADIOMETER – RAY (Phototherapy Irradiance meter)

Treatment of Newborn Jaundice Using a Radiometer

Phototherapy During the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia with Phototherapy, a radiometer or irradiance metre detects the therapeutic light intensity or irradiance of the blue spectrum. The battery-operated device correctly detects irradiance and dose amounts given to newborns while also being portable.

Description:

The intensity of excellent LED Phototherapy Systems is measured using a radiometer that receives exact readings of light in the blue region. To acquire the best results, simply adjust the light intensity.

Hand-held radiometers make it easy to check the output of neonatal phototherapy treatment devices as part of routine device maintenance and output monitoring programmes. It was thought that determining the wavelength and angular response of a few of these metres and comparing their indicated values to those acquired from spectrum analysis of phototherapy light sources would be a good idea.

Features:

Under any lighting condition, the radiometer is easy to read.

The sensor’s dome diffuser reduces angular sensitivity.

Linearity and reliability are improved using microprocessor electronics.

Measures therapeutic blue light intensity in µW/cm² & µW/cm²/nm.

High bright LED display with 0.1 % resolution.

Provides consistent reading of the irradiance measurement.

Hold function records the previous value.

Low Power draw allows the units to operate continuously for 20 hours in the rechargeable battery.

Re-chargeable battery with long life up to 2 years.

Developed with the patient in mind :

The optical sensor’s dome diffuser reduces angular sensitivity, while microprocessor electronics boost linearity and reliability. The results are repeatable and come in a standardised unit of measurement.

With the push of a button, you can easily measure while adjusting the light intensity. The final reading is locked on the screen when the button is released. To assist in determining optimal height settings for above lights, use the handy Phototherapy Radiometer. Both overhead and under-surface devices can use the same sensor.

For reliable measurements in the blue spectrum, use a Phototherapy Radiometer. Designed to function in combination with other LED phototherapy devices.
